Thank you for your support and encouragement. Since announcing my candidacy for City Council on June 29, it has been my pleasure meeting the Charlottesville community through the forums, neighborhood canvassing, interviews, Meet & Greets, and grocery store chats. Through the vast array of issues, I’ve seen the commitment the citizens have toward the City. Charlottesville is indeed a great place to live. Thank you, once again.

I look forward to a wonderful turn-out at tomorrow’s “firehouse” primary at Burley Middle School. I will be there to greet voters and chat. Please stop by to say hello.

I want to thank my old and “new” friends who joined me at Cville Coffee tonight. I was grateful for the opportunity to share more of my Council candidacy goals and to hear of interests around alternate transportation, city growth, and forging a cohesive community. Special thanks to Toan Nguyen, the proprietor of Cville Coffee, for opening up his doors for tonight’s gathering.

Tomorrow at 11am outside City Hall, the Piedmont Chapter of the Sierra Club is having a press conference to announce its endorsements of the City Council candidates. Each candidate was given the opportunity to answer questions posed by the Club. I am pleased to share that I am one of two people that the group has chosen to endorse. Dede Smith is the other.
